Excellent views of what the moon phases look like from various places. I had been puzzled about why the moon looked different in Hawaii and about the different sunrise & sunset times in localities. I have recommended it to friends.

Works great. Loads extremely fast and presents info well. Tow minor recommendations would be to add a "today" button to jump back to today went scrolling through dates. Also would be nice if the main screen list the location selected so you didnt have to jump back and forth from the map screen. Overall, Im extremely happy and recommend it.
Provides both moon and sun rise and setting times. Great!
Maybe the app need location serviced to work? Did not display times for rise and set, only phase for a date. Could not pin location on world map. See MoonPhase instead.
Great concept .... If it actually worked & provided the times for moonrises....
Thought it was awesome till I realized the full moon calendar was wrong by two days
Anyone that says it works great is lying and is probably friends with the developer. The pin me function doesnt even work, at all.
Knowing the lunar phases is good. Having a lunar tracker that is 2-3 days OFF the actual lunar phase is NOT good. Recalculate. Seriously.
I really like this app and Im sure anybody that wants to know when the sun rises and sets will like it also. There is however a problem in that daylight saving time is not accounted for and the times are an hour off. Im sure that it will be fixed as soon as this review is read.
Too bad Moonrise cant derive the correct time zone; Im in NY (and its maps pin is correctly on my block) but it says Im at UTC -4 (incl. Daylight Savings Time), but it should be UTC -5. Compared to the other calculations it must do, this one seems trivial, yet it creates a gross error making it unusable. The ads work great, though, so I gave it two stars. Oh, I followed the link to support and it brought me to a page (with no contact info) that included the following: The calculations for events are accurate to a few minutes of the US Naval Observatory sun and moon calendars, and it doesnt rely on large astronomical data updates, nor on-line sites. In fact, it never accesses the Internet! So that may explain it. Nice that it doesnt need Internet access, but nicer would be if it were accurate.
Its great having an app that tells me when the next full moon will be and is also two days off! (See what I did there? I was being sarcastic? No?)
Simple and clear with great graphic!
I tried to pin my location so I could get sun and moon times and it didnt work on iphone5.
I really love this app. Its simple and very pretty. Just what I was looking for :)
Worked well when I first got it. But somewhere along the line I lost my position information and cant pin my location now. Deleted and reloaded. Still no success. Also did an iPod reset but still not working. Thought about buying the Pro version but not until the free version works. Hope they fix it because when it worked it was a favorite of mine. Forget about support because its all in another language.
Like other reviews also said, cant set your location. So it doesnt work at all.
The date is set up YYYY-MM-DD & that is disconcerting when youre used to seeing it DD-MM-YYYY
Provides sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset based on your location and date. Be sure to have location services turned on. Very flexible. Also indicates moon phases.
Gives me the date and nothing else!
At first I thought this app wasnt working. You need to go to your privacy setting at choose location services and turn on the app on. Then you can set your city and the times will appear. Now that I know how to turn in on properly, it looks like its going to work well.
